Can Sleeve anchors be used for wood or ONLY concrete/brick?
2018年3月31日 · Yes, the sleeve anchor's sleeve will expand over its cone, expand and tighten. Hang the load, swing on it and it will feel safe. As time passes though, the density of wood hole changes from humidity, allowing the expansion pressure of the sleeve to lessen and also the load moves around enlarging the hole in the wood.

2013年4月11日 · I would use a masonry bit and drill for anchors into the brick, not the mortar. Insert the masonry anchors and then screw into them. I would be worried if the lattice wobbled around the fasteners in the mortar could cause the joints to deteriorate. The bricks should be more solid. Admittedly, overkill perhaps.

2009年9月2日 · If it's stucco over block, use 3/8" x 2.5" sleeve anchors. For years we used simple 1/4" plastic anchors with #10 x 2" an head sheet metal screws. The bigger sleeve anchors are a much better installation. If it's stucco over framing you need to located at least one stud and drill holes in the panel to accept a couple of 3/8" lag bolts.

2023年6月19日 · That brick is stronger than most people think. Wedge or sleeve anchors into the brick will hold. If you decide to drill holes into the brick, and use lag bolts into the studs, use caution and make sure you’re screwing into the center of the studs. Either way you decide to go, caulk the hole before you insert the screw.
