Axis compact stock upgrade. - Savage Shooters
2023年3月5日 · I purchased an axis compact for the daughter and she’s already outgrown the gun. Length of pull needs to be increased. Instead of adding a longer recoil pad, I’d prefer to try to restock the gun before just outright buying a different gun. This is a compact version axis with the short 20” barrel in 243 cal.

2023年5月21日 · While I like my Axis I won't invest any more money in it. The only real upgrade it got was a Boyd's stock, just because I wanted a heavier wood stock. It did get the .308 barrel from my 12BVSS (26" stainless, fluted) when I put a 6BR Shilen on the 12. So the action now has about 6000 rounds through it. 4500 of .223 and 1500 of .308.

2015年4月23日 · Short answer yes, you can shorten the Axis Stock and add some weight to the butt, but before doing that you might want to explore some other options. First, if LOP is your issue and it was for me then try to find a youth stock which measures at 12.5'' LOP vs the 13.5'' LOP for the standard Axis stock.
Altering an Axis Factory Stock - Savage Shooters
2019年8月19日 · I'm 5'7" and the LOP on the stock is/was 14.5". I got to fiddling with the stock and discovered the removeable spacer between the stock and gummy recoil pad. Of course, the recoil pad was then too wide to fit in the recess and the screw hole areas in the stock stopped the pad from seating fully.
