The Proston railway line was a branch railway from Murgon to Proston in south-east Queensland, Australia. On 7 December 1914 Queensland Parliament approved a branch line to run west from Murgon to Proston in south-east Queensland.
21. Proston Railway Station – large crowd welcomed the first train on 24 February 1923, Mrs Lily Slinger cut the ribbon to allow the train into the station. First station mistress was Mrs Beatrice Tooth (Grandmother of Mrs Dorrie Hedges). The Commercial Bank of Sydney operated a savings bank in the same building for a short time.
