2013年4月28日 · I have caught a bit of everything on Gulp New Penny at Ft. Fisher/Carolina Beach. Not sure if the pinfish are getting the shrimp tails or lizard fish. The lizard fish are awful in the creeks at times and have teeth enough to shred a soft bait. Caught a few of the devils, so I'm sure they are one of the bait spoiling culprits.

2012年2月19日 · Pinfish and the ringtail pictured are both members of the porgy family and definitely edible. Those ringtails get dinner-plate sized on the nearshore wrecks and live bottoms in the summer. The bigger ones seem to prefer 65'-90' water.

6/19 & 6/20 - 24 hr Surf City pier pass with my 12 yr old. Day one (9:30am to 11am), caught one white perch on shrimp. Day two was a little better (7-9am), whiting, perch, pinfish and a decent bluefish. Still, kind of slow overall, but was fun to watch the surfers catch some big waves. 6/21 - Back in the ICW, with my son this time. 6 - 8:30am.

2014年7月16日 · Hooked the pinfish through the lip and chunked it out as far as could. A few minutes later my drag was SCREAMING and peeling off line very fast. Unfortunately all I had was 30lb leader and while trying to get some line back it cut the leader. Im guessing it was a decent sized shark but who knows. Moral of the story, something eats pinfish

2009年8月24日 · Couldn't do anything but pinfish and trash there so started working our out to deep water when we came across 5 or 6 large balls of bait fish with something working them so we started cast cut bait out and letting it fall through the bait balls and caught about 9 blues or so for the bite fell off.
