The 2.280 update is on the website for each graph along with the basemap update for each graph. There is a basemap for the Helix 5-8 and a different basemap update for Helic 9-12.

Ive been trying to update to 2.0 but everytime I insert the card it says updating software but just reboots and never updates. I’m not sure what was all in the update but I can surly see a difference in the readout quality on my front MDI/MSI unit along with less intererance throughout the boat. I was running version 2.18 prior which I had updated last spring.

2019年3月3日 · Transducer is only 3 weeks old. According to Humminbird the new 1.90 software update doesn’t apply to G3 models so I am stuck with the 1.83 software for now. No dropping, dragging of transducer, I am pretty particular and treat my gear well. I will wait and see what Humminbird says.

If you’re unit is registered with the serial number on the HB web site you should get a email notification of when a update is available for your specific unit is the way I understand it. When I go to the web site and look at the software update list my model Helix Ice 7 G3N chirp/Gps isn’t even listed.

The last time I tried to update my Helix 10, I followed the instructions exactly and when I inserted the SD card with the update, my unit locked up. I had to disconnect power to shut it down. tried again, same result. Called Humminbird and had to send it in.

So perhaps the update process somehow corrupted the data or the map data update did not execute properly (it said it did). At any rate, it all works now and I’m definitely satisfied with Navionics customer service.
