2020年7月14日 · Certain weapons with a reciprocating charging handle can be made to fire on full auto with a carefully tuned string tied to the charging handle, then wound around the back of the trigger guard, so it pulls the trigger as the bolt comes into full battery. I think it was the M1 Carbine or mini14 where this was most famous.

An auto sear will be generally more than most f/a lowers, except factory colt m16s I would say and the stainless steel lowers. 2023年11月5日 · The standard drop in auto sears (dias) just replicate the function of an m16 auto sear. A swift link (coat hangar MG, 3d printed Yankee boogle, etc) uses a semi auto trigger group. It basically pushes down in the disconnector when the bolt goes into battery, which releases the hammer if the trigger is held down.

2014年11月22日 · A DIAS (drop in auto sear) is legal to buy and own. It is an NFA item by itself and must have been registered as a machine gun before 1986. The host gun does not need to be registered. They are about $15-20K right now for an M16 DIAS.

2020年6月15日 · I can answer here as I have done it with my PTR and my Flemming sear. They say it’s drop in ready for a trigger pack. The OEM pack can’t handle just a sear on it’s own. You’d have to make sure the autosear is already in a F/A trigger pack.It’s truly a matter of swapping the trigger pack out and running it on auto.

(And in some cases, like RDIAS the drop in auto sear is the actual machine gun on the registry) The expense is due to the limited amount of MGs that can be transferred, and no new ones can come into the market. Parts brake, things get lost, so the supply gets less and less every day.

2021年1月16日 · The SP5 screw on full auto trip carriers from TSC are IMHO in no way legally different than what S&H, MM, TPM, RDTS, and a myriad of other builders have been doing to SP5K carriers for years by adding (welding/soldering) a sear trip to semi-auto SP5K carriers (that also clear the block) since shortly after that guns introduction.
