Looking for a bookshelf speaker Build/DIY/Kit with front ports
2019年2月7日 · Looking for a bookshelf speaker build...something with front ports preferably. Would like a 5" or 6"-ish woofer as I want to keep things relatively small as this will go in a bedroom. Most nicer kits I've found offer rear ports, which I don't really want due to placement.

2020年11月25日 · I have no problem DIY'ing if it truly is worth it. I see a pair of Polk RTIA9 500-Watt Tower Speaker on sale at BestBuy for $500CAD - I bet used they are $300CAD. If I were to build the equivalent (THREE 7" woofers, TWO 5.25" drivers) it would cost the same if not more I think if shopping on partsexpress.com.

2015年1月13日 · Honestly your best bet if you dont like anything you've seen is to build a pair of powered subs using whatever driver/amp combo you like, and then find a PROVEN 2 way speaker design (or kit) that uses drivers you like and sit the speakers on top of the subs, you could even glue them together to make it "official".
