The curl-up abdominal fitness test requires the subjects to perform as many curl-ups as possible following a set cadence. The following information describes the procedures as used in the FitnessGram Program.
Movement should be slow and gauged to the specified cadence of about 20 curl-ups per minute (1 curl every 3 seconds). The teacher should call a cadence or use a prerecorded cadence. A recorded cadence may be found on the PACER music tape or CD. Partner A continues with-out pausing until he or she can no longer continue or has completed 75 curl-ups.
