2015年8月13日 · If you want to bleed it there, crack (almost open unfortunately) the outflow pipe fitting from the top of the fuel filter cap that goes to the fuel injection pump. Pump fuel (either working the manual thumb pump next to filter housing or the electric pump) until you get solid fuel with no bubbles.

You might also hear the fuel flowing in the system and/or the fuel dropping back into the tank from the engine filter’s fuel return line. I can pump about twice per second using my thumb. If you suspect a bad lift pump, try disconnecting the filter fuel return line and see if fuel squirts out when pressing the lift pump lever.

First Suspect : You have an air leak in the delivery system ! somewhere a connection is NOT good, between shutdown and start up - air replaces diesel. Go over the whole fuel delivery system replacing soft washers, tightening glands etc etc - Look for bubbles! Get a new mechanic who knows what he is doing.

Is there any way to get the air out of the line and filter before it gets further into the engine? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
