If your professor does ask for an Abstract, we provide recommendations here from the APA guidelines for professional papers. The Abstract page should already include the page number.
APA Seventh Edition Sample Paper This example presents guidelines for student papers following the 2020 Publication Manual, th7 edition, of the American Psychological Association (APA). Lines are double-spaced and left-aligned. Margins are set at one inch.
Note: APA no longer requires a “running head” for student papers (30). The title of the paper, your name, affiliation, course number and title, instructor, and due date should appear on separate, double-spaced lines beginning 3-4 lines down from the top (30-35). The page numbers should appear flush right in the header (32).
