You can call Winwin’s absence in 127 a hiatus or being „currently inactive“ all you want, but the excuse that he's busy with WayV doesn’t hold up for that long, not when you have Haechan, Taeyong, Ten, Lucas and Mark balancing two groups as well.

Lucas came back to Korea around 2 months ago, and I assumed WinWin would be back shortly after because China’s Spring semester ends in July. But he’s still there with no big hints on what he’s up to.

2020年5月12日 · And wow, WinWin has become so good! When NCT 127 would promote in the U.S, he barely spoke English because he wasn't very good back then and it was mainly Johnny, Mark and Jaehyun's job. In WayV, there is no such thing as assigning a language to a member because speaking multiple language is one of their main "attracting points".

NCT also love Winwin so much, and WayV have said multiple times how much they miss him and how Winwin makes them so happy. He is loved by his members and fans and he is doing just fine. Edit: forgot to add, but although he doesn't have the best/strongest voice, when a song is in his range especially, he sounds perfectly fine.
