2013年7月11日 · Mr Bannister, who also played ‘Golf Captain’ Toby Mulbery-Smith in the Holme Valley based sitcom between 2001 and 2009, was found unconscious at his allotment in Thames Ditton in Surrey. The cause of his death is not known. Summer Wine director, Alan J Bell, paid tribute to Mr Bannister and said he was greatly upset by his shock death.
