2021年3月15日 · Unsurprisingly son Thomas Parkinson Brown, a life long bachelor, took over as coroner and held the post for another 40 years. Thomas (Jnr) became the senior partner of ‘Brown, Charlesworth and Wood’ solicitors with the Charlesworth family in Settle.
Thomas Brown of Skipton, Solicitor and Coroner, who died 9th April 1876, aged 76 years, Also of Mary, his wife, who died 18th January 1874 aged 65 years. Also of Marian, their daughter, who died 27th March 1856, aged 17 years. As predicted, son Thomas Parkinson Brown took over as coroner, a post he held for 40 years [1].
2020年7月4日 · Thomas (Jnr)’s obituary explains that he had been the coroner of Skipton for over 40 years, taking over from his father. He was the senior partner of ‘Brown, Charlesworth and Wood’ solicitors so will have had good links with the Charlesworth family in Settle.

Thomas Brown was a solicitor and the Craven Coroner, and on his death in 1876 his son Thomas Parkinson Brown succeeded to the practice and the coronership. He also lived at “the Bailey” until his death in 1905, after which his sister Miss Isabel Brown lived there.
