You can put an i7 4900MQ in the T440p without any worries about thermals or noise, which is practically the same performance as the i7 7820HQ in the T470p at a fraction of the cost.

Well, a T440p is better than any dual-core ULV option from the T450 to the T470. The T480 is when the newer machines start to be an obvious decision. I say if a newer laptop is a lot more expensive, a T440p isn't a bad option at all. With the dGPU disabled or gone altogether, they don't run hot at all either.

2021年6月26日 · My parents and grandparents all have T440, T450, and T440s Thinkpads. They love their laptops and treat them gently, so with Windows 11 they can continue using them for the foreseeable future. So the only non-supported Thinkpads in my family are my own T440p and T500. So I'll retire the T500 by 2025 and install Linux on the T440p.

2021年8月26日 · Then that could only be possible if the drivers are not installed at all. Though I have seen in the past that the Bluetooth device, on some computers, for some reason did not appear until the chipset .infs ("drivers") were installed, perhaps something to do with the fact that Bluetooth runs off a USB lane, rather than directly of PCIe.

2021年4月30日 · I've heard people using the Innolux N140HCE-EN1 Rev.C2 with success, it seems to have brackets that are compatible with ThinkPad models from this era. The LP140WF3-SPD1 is, along with the AUO B140HAN01.2, one of the two options that a 1080p IPS T440p could have come with out of the factory. Of the two, the LG screen is the better option.
