Mar 25, 2013 · I tried a capacitive touch pen (very common since a capacitive touch screen is what apple uses for it's product) and it worked on 2/3 of the laptops I have with me right now. It did work on a smooth touchpad from an Acer and a Dell, but it did NOT work on the textured (lumpy) touchpad on the HP. YMMV.
