2012年1月14日 · Most hobbyist vendors sell 4" dust collection duct and flex hose as their standard. This works well to collect chips, but strangles the airflow needed for good fine dust collection. A typical 2 hp hobbyist dust collector with a 12" diameter impeller moves a maximum of about 1200 CFM, but a 4" duct airflow drops that airflow to only about 450 CFM.

I have a friend who built his own Pentz cyclone (CV design) and then plumbed it to blow through the filter from the outside in.

I don't have 220, which removes the high powered stuff off the list. Having said all of this, the Oneida Dust Cobra seems to potentially fit the bill for what I need.

2016年10月26日 · This design should be more efficient - more dust/chips will end up in the the dust collector bin instead of the filter bag. I have a similar grizzly (G0440) and i've filled up the dust bin a few dozen times and never had to change the bag on the end of the filter yet. so far there's less then a pint of fine dust there.

If you are plumbing dust collection with 5", you are most likely plumbing a Chinese 2HP dust collector, so odds are better than good you are going to be price sensitive. $40.00 fittings are just unacceptable.when you need 10 of them to plumb up a $450.00 after mods dust collector. Like everything YMMV of course.
