School me on the KTM 200 engine - Moto-Related - Vital MX
2016年5月12日 · It's very possible I'm buying a new bike. probably an xc or xcw model ktm either a 200, 250,or 300. Is the 200 still the old engine design? since the ktm 125 is pushing 40 hp, what's the hp for the 200? Is the engine torquey enough for a 200 pound old man like myself? I'm researching daily but I can't find a thorough source of buyer info.

2006年8月16日 · This is my 2003 200 EXC (yep, 10 years old and had it from new) though this photo is a couple of years old. I've since added an FMF silencer, steering damper & triple clamp combo and new plastics with Enduro Engineering graphics.

2022年2月15日 · So I picked up a 2012 ktm 200 xc-w in November last year. The listing said it had a Rekluse and a lectron carb. It was listed as a 2011 at 4,000. After conversing with the owner, I found the pipe was smashed up. I was able to pick it up for 2,800. Turns out there was far more wrong internally.

2009年12月14日 · I have a 2010 150SX that I grenaded and was going to use what I had left and buy all of the parts to turn it into a 200, but came across an couple KTM 200's for sale at a price I couldn't say no to. One is a 2003 200SX and the other is a 1999 200MXC. The prior owner is an older guy, I believe in his 60's.

2017年10月5日 · The 200 had a rack and pinion style power valve so it was more progressive than a traditional pv. Made the power much more linear and easy to manage in gnarly terrain. I was wondering why KTM didn't adopt that style PV on their other two strokes, my guess would be it's too expensive to manufacture.

2018年6月28日 · Sweet find man! Unfortunately the 200 has moved on to a new owner as it wasn’t ever getting ridden. Had another kid and too much on my hands to ever get out and ride at the time. I’ve picked up a KDX200 now though and am about to start a build on it. Been riding the last two weekends and really like the bike so far for the woods.

2008年4月1日 · They made the 150. I've ridden both- had a 200 SX, have two 150's (counting my XC-W and my son's SX)- and the 150 is a killer bike. If you want a 200, look at the Beta 200 RR. Rode those in Texas and they were nice. My son had his SX at the time and said it felt just as strong as the 200 but lighter. Even so, we both liked the 200 RR a lot.

2014年6月2日 · I was going to suggest the NECH needle, but I thought it might be too flat off the bottom and into the middle with the 39mm carb on the 200. I bet it would run fairly clean though. To get the bike to really run clean, Imo, iyou are going to need a leaner 7.0 or 7.5 slide.
