German cars are good, Germany builds some of the best cars in the world so I don’t understand why people tell you german cars a crap. 2022年2月3日 · I’ve had two German cars. A W123 and a 1st gen Vito, might be W638 IIRC. The former was literally the most robust and reliable car I’ve ever owned, besides a bit of rust problems. The latter was one of the most unreliable cars I’ve ever owned, with constant turbo problems and electrical bugs.

In the US, German cars have the opposite problem: they have to overcome a reputation for being unreliable. I'll use BMW as an example. In the E36 and E46 era they were terrible, those models were known for having cooling systems made of jellybeans, rear subframes made of Swiss cheese, and questionable electronics and build quality.

The most popular used car as of 2021 in LT - the BMW 3er. Also, Audis and VWs are in the top 5. When asking people who buy these cars you always get - reliability, solid build quality, etc.

2016年8月20日 · What makes a German/European car more expensive other than mystique is the drivetrain, which is more closely related to performance cars than a Camry. This sort of engineering is legitimately more expensive and the margins aren't as high so the cars cost more and cost more to maintain.

My father has owned 9 German cars. BMWs, Mercedes', Audis, and Porsches. His experience basically mirrors mine. Aside from an F80 M3 that killed 2 transmissions. Along with that, one of the biggest reasons German cars have this stigma are the costs. Even the most basic parts on my German cars were considerably more expensive than other makes.
