Visuals: On a white background is a black CBS eyemark logo. It turns yellow as the text "CBS" in a Didot font zooms out letter-by-letter on the eye before fading out, which each letter appearing next to it.

The CBS Logo - TVARK
By 1988, the ident would be consistently animated, and a pre-recorded voiceover was used beginning in 1992. While this was a wonderful branding tool for the network, its primary use was far more practical. The symbol was actually used as a cue to local affiliates to switch away from the network to air local advertising or local content.

Paramount Television (CBS) - Closing Logos
On January 17, 2006, CBS Corporation merged the CBS Paramount Network Television Entertainment Group, CBS Paramount International Television, and Paramount Domestic Television into the CBS Paramount Television Group, but the on-air logo for PDT remained the same until Memorial Day 2006, when the first CBS Paramount Television logo debuted.
