I found it a noticeable improvement for stereo listening for the reasons stated above, it bypasses all of the other controls, including room correction and sends the full signal to the speakers as intended for stereo listing.

2009年4月3日 · I dunno about the Yamaha receivers, but I've been using 6 Ohm speakers with my Sony STRDG820 and that has no 6 Ohm option available. Can't say my speakers have exploded (Yet) or that the receiver is running hot. I can't see a technical reason why you can't run 6 Ohm speakers with amplifiers with output rated for 8 Ohms.
