2024年3月16日 · The only unique/special thing about Vox has been the chime/jangle tones the AC 15 and 30 will deliver with an alnico speaker. If the amp don't have an alnico speaker and tubes it won't produce that either. And then there's nothing great or special about Vox amps imo

2009年9月17日 · The Classic 30 is NOT like a Vox. The only reason people claim or confuse C30s for Vox is the EL84 power tubes, but the circuits are not similar. For what its worth, Classic 30's are one of my favorite amps though. As far as the Class A nonsense amp companies have been spewing to sell amps - Matchless and most Z's are NOT Class A either.

2024年3月16日 · Same with all the Vox AC-10s and AC-4s. I've lost count of Vox AC re-issues now - some are allegedly hand-wired - some are not. Some have minor changes in this or that - some don't. Vox and Fender are the kings of alleged re-issues imo. And none of them fix the major design faults of the amps. For Vox ACs the 2 major faults imo are.....

Just watching the last decade of country music award shows, I've seen the switch from Fender & Peavey amps to Dr. Z, Morgan, Matchless, Bad Cat, TopHat, and of course, VOX. Occasionally I'll see a Fender or Fender style amp or a Marshall, but for the most part AC30 voiced amps.

2023年10月25日 · I know less about these, so I am not exactly sure what they sound like. The Cambridge seems designed to compete with amps like the Boss Katana. With amps like these you might not need pedals to get the sounds you're after. That's one of the benefits of a modeler. But I don;t think I've ever heard of people describe these as "gigging" amps.
