Ireland's Josh van der Flier is named the Autumn Nations player of the series, edging out South Africa winger Cheslin Kolbe.

Ireland back row Josh van der Flier has been named the Autumn Nations Player of the Series. The 31-year-old Leinster forward started all four games for Andy Farrell's side in November as they followed up an opening loss to New Zealand with wins over Argentina, Fiji and Australia.

Ireland flanker Josh van der Flier has been crowned Player of the Series for this year’s Autumn Nations Series, winning the public vote by just three percent. Van der Flier was in impressive form throughout last month and started all of Ireland’s fixtures as they won three out of four internationals during November.
