As cyclone Fengal wreaked havoc in Tamil Nadu, it was reported that seven people died in Tiruvannamalai. Five bodies have been recovered by the officials. The search and rescue operations resumed on December 3 at 7:30 am.

CHENNAI: Chief Minister MK Stalin on Tuesday announced a comprehensive relief package for different sections of the people who have been affected by the heavy rains caused by the cyclone Fengal in several districts.

As per an estimate by the Tamil Nadu government, Cyclone Fengal caused unprecedented devastation in 14 districts, extensively damaging roads, and electricity lines and causing heavy inundation.
