Japchae (also spelled "chapchae") is a Korean dish that is based on slippery, resilient sweet potato noodles (sometimes mung bean noodles are used, but they have a more tender texture).
Gochujang is a soy-based fermented Korean red chilli paste. Look for a Korean brand (often sold in a big red tub) because own-brand versions tend to be far too sweet.
