Amazon has admitted that it stopped the speedy service in the two zones but said it had done so out of concern for driver safety rather than for discriminatory purposes.

The attorney general for the District of Columbia filed a suit Wednesday against Amazon, accusing it of denying two neighborhoods high-speed delivery service.

Washington, D.C.’s attorney general sued Amazon on Wednesday, accusing the company of covertly depriving residents in certain ZIP codes in the nation’s capital from access to Prime’s high-speed delivery.
