Murrieta Valley Unified School District is an award-winning public school district serving students in Southwest Riverside County. Since 1989, Murrieta Valley USD has inspired every student to think, to learn to achieve and to care. The district is a 2018 CA Distinguished School District and the only district in Riverside County to have CA designated Purple Star Schools for their support to military students and their families. MVUSD is also home to America’s 2024 Most Spirited High School and several CA Distinguished Schools. The district is comprised of state and county funded preschools for students younger than 4, 11 elementary schools, 4 middle schools, 3 comprehensive high schools, 1 homeschool and independent study school and 2 alternative high schools, 1 adult transition school, and 1 adult school.
