I think you will be just fine. They are pretty big and roomy. They have a little back rest, but it’s adjustable.

Can the kids and less comfortable swimmers wear their life preservers during the snorkel portion of the kayak/snorkel tour?

Yes. No issues. Obviously, people wearing life jackets will have a difficult time trying to dive or submerge underwater.

I have only done the kayaking. You can do double kayak so both people are paddling, which would make it easier. Even in decent shape I found the paddle out moderately difficult …
