The customer service at the museum was appalling. The ‘lady’ at the entrance refused to let us in because it was 6.05, last entry supposedly at 6pm. She told us to come back tomorrow, but we along wi… Mary F的完整评论

Highly recommend doing this first. You can get access to it with the combo Duomo ticket. The app gives you a lot of good details about the Duomo. Much more than the duomo audio app itself. It's in a … mikex2017的完整评论

Our entrance tickets to the Duomo included the museum entrance. It was good to stroll around for an hour or so. I would not buy tickets for this on its own, but if it is part of the package then make… FrancoisT488的完整评论

I really suggest you avoid shorts which are more than two inches above the knee - so mid thigh is likely to be a definite no no -and the same for sleeveless/tank top style tops which leave the shoulders bare in the duomo. You almost certainly risk not being admitted. The same goes for fully open sandals and what in the uk we call flip-flops and in australia I believe you calk thongs? They will risk non admission. Strongly avoid taking any bag other than a very small backpack - luggage is not allowed inside. Caps and sunglasses are also not to be worn inside but are ok on the roof. Milan strictly enforces its dress code and securty and all major italian cathedrals which are also major tourist sites are guarded by the italian military since threats to attack them by IS/Daesh. In my experience the military are great but can sometimes be very slightly inconsistent in how they apply the rules. Dont risk it. There is always some inconsistency in application of the code but generally the bigger the city and the more important the cathedral the more strictly the dress code is enforced. The stated reason for this is both that Catholic custom - perhaps less Outside Spain Italy and France - retains a strong sense of what is inappropriate to wear in church and to preserve some sense of the building you are in still being a place of worship and not any other tourist attraction. My partner and i fins a good solution is to put shirts inside bags in case my t shirt or his tank top fall foul.
Hi, we are going to Milan this summer...I was wondering, did you go in the Bapistery & museum? Was it worth it?

The museum gave a great opportunity to see many of the decorative works of the Duomo from really close up, and to get a sense of how that marvellous building was constructed. Don't miss it. The Baptistery was also worth a look, but if you are pressed for time it could be skipped.
